CREAMY no CREAM ONION SAUCE

I thought I should post the recipe for this sauce separately to make it easier for you to find.  As you can see by the photo this sauce comes out thick, white and very creamy. And it's super easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 sweet, or regular onions peeled and halved, or quartered
1 clove garlic peeled and halved
1/2 cup water
2 tbls Melt (A butter replacement), or regular butter
salt and pepper to taste

METHOD:
Pour the 1/2 cup of water into a small saucepan.  Add the prepared onion and garlic and a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over medium high heat.  As soon as it begins to boil, immediately turn the heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until the onions are soft.  Pour the onions, garlic and water into a blender, add the two tablespoons of Melt, salt and pepper to taste and process until smooth and creamy.  Return to the pan to keep warm.

Pour this sauce over mashed potatoes and Oven Fried Chicken, or add it to any soup requiring cream. If you try it please post a comment and let me know what you think.

Enjoy.
